Michael Ivie serves as Managing Partner of SGS Equity Partners, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy, platform development, and long-term vision. He works closely with founders and leadership teams to help professional services businesses strengthen their operating foundations, scale sustainably, and create enduring enterprise value.

Michael brings more than a decade of experience operating at the intersection of finance, risk, technology, and business transformation. His career has spanned roles as a trader, developer, analyst, enterprise risk manager, entrepreneur, and management consultant, providing a multidimensional perspective on how organizations grow, adapt, and create value in complex environments.

Throughout his career, Michael has helped organizations navigate large-scale transformation initiatives across Risk Management, Data Management, Regulatory Change, Technology Modernization, and Enterprise Transformation. His experience includes building and scaling professional services organizations, developing operating models, and leading growth initiatives in highly regulated and data-intensive industries.

Michael’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that long-term success requires more than expertise alone. Michael holds a Master of Science in Finance and an MBA in Risk Management & Insurance from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business.
